Prominent CCM members denied entry as CC meet
The ruling Chama cha Mapinduzi Central Committee (CC) met today morning in Dodoma in a meeting which saw some prominent members and cabinet ministers denied entry in the extraordinary conference.
CCM National Chairman, President John Magufuli officiated the opening of the meeting that will for the last time involve 34 members.
The oldest political party plans to halve the representation of its members in the decision making committee to 24 down from 34.
Such changes are to be discussed among other reforms within the party.
Home Affairs Minister Mr Mwigulu Nchemba and January Makamba, Minister in the Vice President’s Office Union and Environment were the earliest arrivals who faced barriers getting into the auditorium.
