ENGINEER BONIFACE GISSIMA APPOINTED TO BE A DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE REA

Rural Energy Board (REB) appoints Engineer Boniface Gissima NyamoHanga Director General of the Rural Energy Agency (REA) sealing the space left vacant by former Director General of the Agency Dk.Lutengano Mwakahesya who retired in June 2016.

According to a statement issued by the Media and Chairman of the Board of Energy Rural Dk.Gideon Kaunda explains that the selection has been made pursuant to Law No. 8 of 2005 of Rural Energy in session on 17 December 2016.

The report states that prior to this appointment Engineer Gissima NyamoHanga was Acting Director General of the Rural Energy Agency (REA).

Engineer Gissima added that he has 20 years of experience in the energy sector and also holding various positions since 2008 when he was hired REA.
