PRIME MINISTER BANS RICHS TO USE POLICE FORCE FOR HARASSING PEOPLE
Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa has banned individuals who are financially
able to use police force to beat and harass citizens bombs to beat explosives
citizens unarmed.
He has decreed that force them to use in areas that threaten the security
of the country and citizens.
He also told the citizens of Ward's Pond Neighborhood Omapinu the Minister
of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, William Lukuvi will come
to the village next week to talk with them how to solve the crisis in the field
of Tanzania Plantation and the citizens.
Providence Prime Minister made these remarks after being stopped by the
citizens of the neighborhood, while he continued his visit in Arusha yesterday.
"From now on it is prohibited for individuals who are able to use the
money the police force beat and harass citizens bombs to beat explosives when
they had no weapons.
"The police are allowed to use these powers in areas that threaten the
security of the country and citizens and not otherwise," said the Prime
Minister.
About the crisis in the field of Tanzania Plantation, Prime Minister
questioned; "Why did the police slew some explosives citizens detained
plow or fetch water in that area of the field up to the point of women
miscarry?
"You police explosives callers why you people, who issued a decree
firing grenades these citizens. I speak from today a plunge bombing these
people and I beseech you guys do not do aggressive people, patience Minister
Lukuvi coming next week for the field to resolve this crisis. "
He said police are allowed to use force, only there in case something can
be life-threatening or violent, but not to harass citizens who claim their land
to beat explosives.
Lukuvi said he arrived in the region for addressing land disputes, which
lies more Arumeru district, and he spent more time for solving the problems
facing the country.
He said from now an investor who has a dormant farm in the district, these
fields will be taken by the government to be divided to citizens.
Lukuvi said Minister in the district as well as dealing with other
conflicts, also will solve the dispute between the field of Tanzania Plantation
and the citizens.
Initially, Arumeru District Land Officer, Rehema Jato admitted the
existence of a land dispute between the investor Tanzania Farm Plantation,
Pradeep Lodhia and citizens.
He said there was a pending court case and now is the decision of the
Court, then other steps should be taken.
Arumeru District Commissioner, sensitivity Alexander said the district is
one of the districts in the country with land conflicts and sometimes people
kill each other.
